Admission Criteria
Admission Eligibility:
- Minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years.
- Admission through karnataka CET for Karnataka and Non -Karnataka
Minimum Education:
- Must have passed 10+2 Science with 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- English should be one of the optional subjects.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Candidates are also eligible from state open school recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English only.
- English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- Students shall be admitted once in a year.
Foreign Nationals:
- The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, SNRC and University will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed by the Council.
Admission Procedure
- Forms will be available in the college office from 1st May onwards or can be downloaded from the website.
- Candidate should apply by filling the application form of Rs. 500/- (B.Sc Nursing) by cash payment.
Documents required during the time of admissions are as follows:
- S.L.C/X Standard Marks Cards (Original+ 3 attested copies ).
- IInd PUC/XII Standard Marks Cards (Original+ 3 attested copies ).
- Transfer/L.C Certificate from Previous (Original+ 3 attested copies ).
- Migration Certificate (Original+ 3 attested copies ).
- Character Certificate from the previous institution (Original+ 3 attested copies).
- The Candidates coming from out of state must obtain eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (Only for B. Sc Nursing).

Examination
- Students shall have university examination at the end of each year. Minimum pass marks shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical separately.
- Class tests will be conducted periodically to evaluate the student’s performance in each subject. The average marks will be sent to the university as internal assessment, for both theory and practical.
- A model exam will be conducted before the university examination.
- Carry over the system:
- A Candidate shall be promoted to the next year if he/she failed in one or more subjects.
- A Candidate shall pass all the papers of the previous examination before appearing for the fourth year examination.
- Maximum number of attempts and maximum period for completion of the course:
- A Candidate may take any number of attempts within the duration of the course.
- Maximum duration for the successful completion of the course shall not exceed 8(Eight) years from the date of admission.
GNM NURSING COURSE 2024-25
GNM Nursing Course, or General Nursing and Midwifery, is a three-year, six-month diploma programme designed for those interested in a career in clinical nursing. The programme teaches candidates how to care for people who are ill or injured in order to help them recover completely.

- Minimum education:
- 10+2 or 12th class passed preferably Science, Arts & commerce or its equivalent, with English as optional subject, with 40% aggregate marks.
- Students qualified in 10+2 Science, Arts, commerce examination or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks
- Preferably subjects Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, & Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
- Student shall be medically fit.
