NBEMS CPR AWARENESS PROGRAMME
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi in collaboration with KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital and Medical Research Center arranged CPR Awareness Programme on 06/12/2023 at 9.30am at charka hall which was organized by National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is an Autonomous Body of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Dr. S.C Dharwad, Director Clinical Services, explained needs, purposes and importance about the CPR. The programme comprised a short video which explained about the benefit of CPR & Methodology to administer it. Dr. Basavaraj and Dr. Santhosh, Consultant KLES CCH & MRC Yallur Road, Belagavi, demonstrated CPR on the mannequins and also the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Return demonstration was given by students. Dr. Shishir, Consultant Dept. of Urology KLES CCH & MRC Yallur Road, Belagavi, proposed the vote of thanks. Hospital staff and Nursing students along with faculties were present.
WORLD AIDS DAY
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi in collaboration with KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital and Medical Research Center had arranged the lecture on Scenario of HIV and AIDS on 1/12/2023. Mr. Arun Public Relation Officer had Introduced and welcomed the guest. Dr. Srinivas HOD Department of Medicine had delivered the lecture on the topic. Dr. S.C Dharwad, Director Clinical Services had emphasized on the theme and Dr. Vikrant Nesari Principal of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences had spoke on the awareness and education about the HIV and AIDS. Mrs. Rukmini Korde proposed the vote of thanks hospital staffs and students were present.
FRESHER’S DAY
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized Fresher’s Day for the GNM 6th batch and B.Sc.(N) 2nd batch on 24th November 2023. The function started with the introduction of all the fresher students. The newcomers actively participated in the various activities such as singing, dancing and fashion show. Mr. and Miss Fresher was organized for the first time, where the fresher students were given different tasks to perform. After the 3 rounds Mr. Vignesh Kallekanavar from B.Sc and Miss Supriya Rai from GNM became the Mr and Miss fresher 2023. All the faculty members and the students were present.
WORLD DIABETES DAY
KLES Centenary Institute of nursing sciences Yallur road Belagavi in association with KLES MC observed World Diabetes Day by organizing awareness role play and (4km) rally on “WORLD DIABETE DAY” –Access to Diabetes care o 17/11/2023 at 9am from Nathpai circle to KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital, and MRC. Around 140 students participated in the event to create awareness among public by demonstrating role play and they also displayed placards with slogans. Dr. S.C. Dharwad, Director Clinical Services, KLE Centenary Charitable hospital, emphasized the growing concern of diabetes and its preventive measures. Dr. M A Udchankar Principal of KLES HMC and Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal of KLE’S Institute of Nursing Sciences Flagged off rally. All the faculties, students and media personnel were present.
108th FOUNDER’S DAY OF KLE SOCIETY
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi celebrated 108th KLE Founders day commemorating the great work by the Saptrishi’s on 13-11-2023. Dr. Udchankar Principal of HMC highlighted the achievement of KLE Society. Dr. Vikrant Nesari Principal of KLECINS emphasizing the privilege and opportunity to render service to the organization and continue to do with hard work, dedication and sincerity. Dr.Dharwad Director, KLE Centenary Charitable hospital elaborated the effort put by the Saptrishi’s who founded KLE Society to serve the society. The faculties of the college and hospital were present.
CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAM
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi organized Career Guidance program on 06-11-2023. Mrs.Vineeta Desai Founder & CEO of Bridge Now, addressed the students emphasizing the increase demand of nurses in Germany. She explained about the vast opportunities, the recruitment process, the eligibility criteria and benefits. Dr. Vikrant Nesari Principal of KLE CINS, emphasized about the scope of Nursing in Germany which will aid in shaping the future of the students. All the students and faculties of the college were present.
FAREWELL PARTY
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi had organized farewell party for the 3rd batch of GNM on 27th October 2023. The function has started with welcoming the students in the auditorium by offering a flower. MOC was done by the Neha and Piya from GNM II year, Ms. Shalom B. Sc. IInd Semester gave her speech by addressing their seniors and Ms. Ripa from outgoing batch had shared her experience towards throughout her journey in the institute. Class Co-cordinator Mr. Ramangouda shared his experience with the students, Class Co-Ordinator Mrs. Rukmini Kakatikar encouraged the students through her encouraging words and Dr Vikrant Nesari Principal had motivated them by giving tips for preparation of their upcoming exams.
VISIT TO DIMHANS (DHARAWD INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND NEUROSCIENCES.
As a part of curriculum, 2nd year GNM 59 students had visited DIMHANS, Dharwad on 20th October 2023. Dr. R Sreevani, Head Department of Psychiatric Nursing, oriented briefly about DIMHANS to students. Mr. Prashant Bevoor Clinical Instructor DIMHANS, Total 315-bedded Hospital, present total 150 patients admitted in the Hospital ad daily OPD visits around 300-400 patients. At the end students gained good insight about the psychiatric Hospital. Two senior faculties Ms. Prajakta Goral and Ms. Rajashri Mirje were accompanied the students.
DE-ADDICTION CENTER VISIT
As a part of curriculum, 2nd year GNM 59 students had visited Hope Recovery Center, Piranwadi village, Belagavi on 18th October 2023. Director Father Joseph Madavath oriented about the center and Mr. Maruti faculty from the Hope Recovery Center, explained to students about the routine activities of the patients and he also introduced about the infrastructure of the center. Total 92 male patients were admitted in the center with various substance abuse disorders. At the end students gained good insight about importance of de-addiction. Two senior faculties Ms. Prajkta Goral and Ms. Rajashri Mirje were accompanied the students.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP 2023
On the occasion of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Birthday celebration, Youth Red Cross Wing of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi has contributed towards blood donation camp and total of 09 students from B.Sc. Nursing and GNM course donated their blood on 04/10/2023. Dr. S.C. Dharwad, Medical Director, Clinical services, KLES Centenary Charitable hospital, Belagavi, addressed the donors in regard to the benefits of blood donation and emphasized the youths to be the future of the country.
World Heart Day 2023
On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention day, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized guest lecture on the theme ‘Creating Hope Through Action” which was delivered by Dr. Manjunath Sogalad, Asso. Professor KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi. Around 160 students of 1st GNM, 2nd Year GNM, and 1st Year B.Sc. (N) were benefitted by this guest lecture. Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLECINS, Yallur Belagavi briefed about the theme and two faculty of the college were present.

Teachers Day Celebration 2023
On the occasion of Teachers Day, the students of KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized Teachers Day Celebration o 5th September 2023. Students welcomed the teachers by offering flowers and greeting cards. Principal Dr. Vikrant Nesari, emphasized regarding the influence of students on teachers to bring the best out of them. Students organized various games, all the teachers participated actively. The students Miss Ripa Parvin 3rd year GNM and Miss Anuska 1st year GNM delivered the speech on teacher’s day. At the end as a token of appreciation the students distributed gifts to the teachers.
Educational Trip Mysore 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, As a part of educational excursion trip was organized from 6/9/23 to 10/9/23 for 1st year GNM and B.Sc. Nursing students. On 7/8/23 they visited all India Institute of Speech and Hearing Mysore (AIIAH). Mrs. Shakuntala S Gowda Nursing Officer and Mrs. Mamta H.R Audiologist oriented the students regarding the major objectives of the institute to educate the public on issues related to communication disorders, and also briefly demonstrated the procedures conducted in consultation room, endoscopy room vertigo clinic and audiometry room. Following on 8/9/23, the students visited Defense Food Research Laboratory/ Defense Research and Development Organization (DERL)/(DRDO). Dr. R Kumar research technician explained o the aspects of food science and technologies such as the development of convenience foods, preservation of foods, nutritional and biochemical evaluation, food safety, food packaging and transportation for the defense forces. The students also visited historical places like Shri Chamundeshwari Temple, St Philomena church, Tippu sultan’s summer palace unique rail museum and Mysore palace. Overall, the visit was resourceful. Students were companied by their teachers.
National Nutritional Week Exhibition 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, observed National Nutrition Week on 1st to 4th September 2023 by conducting the Nutrition Awareness Exhibition Programme for the public on the theme ‘Suposhit Bharat, Saksar Bharat”, which was organized by the 2nd semester B.Sc (N) and 1st Year GNM students and educated the IPD and OPD patients at KLE Centenary Charitable Hospital, Belagavi regarding various types of Diet. The 424 people visited the exhibition, whi9ch comprised of IPD and OPD patients amog them 35 diabetics, 65 hypertensive, 15 with renal conditions, 26 antenatal and 10 postnatal motherws were benefitted. All the students and the faculty of the college were present.
Annual Day Celebration - 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences organized the Annual Day on 14th July 2023. Dr. Vikrant Neasri, Pricipal, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Science Yallur Road, Belagavi, presented the annual report for the year 2022-23 and welcomed guests. The Chief Guest of the function was Smt. P.V. Sneha DCP Crime and Traffic Belagavi City. The guest of honor was Dr. Suhas Kumar Shetty Principal, KLE Shri B.M. Kankanwadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Shahapur, Belagavi. Certificates, Medals and trophies were distributed amongst the academic and sports achievers. Dr. S.C. Dharwad sir, Director Clinical Services, KLE Centenary Charitable Hospital, Belagavi, Delivered the presidential remarks.
Onam Celebration - 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, had organized the significant festival, Onam which is celebrated in Kerala. It was for the first time the festival was celebrated in the college with B.Sc. Nursing students very enthusiastically performed the Kerala dance (Thiruvathira) and explained the significance of the festival. Different games were organized students participated actively. At the end special sweet (Payasam) was served to all the students and faculty members.
Geneva Convention Day - 2023
On the occasion of Geneva Convention Day, Youth Red Cross Wing of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi had organized seminar on World Humanitarian Day 2023 theme is “No matter what”. Students from 1st Year B.Sc. Nursing and GNM course, presented regarding the humanitarian Day. Mr. Tejesh Patil, Senior Tutor, encouraged and emphasized on the theme of Geneva Convention Day. All teaching faculty and around 100 Nursing students were delegated.
World ORS Day - 2023
On the occasion of World ORS Day, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, had organized a health awareness program on prevention of communicable diseases and how to protect their children from diarrhea by giving them ORS, the life-saving solution. Live demonstration was done on the preparation of ORS at home for mothers of under-five children by the 2nd year GNM students, the program was held in Basarikatti and Mastamardi village, around 70 mother benefitted from this program. Mr. Tejesh Patil Senior Tutor and Ms. Rubina Lobo Tutor accompanied the students.
Breastfeeding Week Celebration - 2023
On the Occasion of World Breastfeeding Week 2023, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi had organized Health Awareness Program at Anganwadi Kendra Tarihal on 7th August 2023. Mrs. Prajakta Patkar given Health Education on Lactation and their benefits.
Educational Tour Hyderabad - 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi. As a part of educational excursion our 3rd GNM 49 students visited National Institute of Nutrition (Research Institute Secunderabad Telangana). During their visit students were oriented regarding effective methods of food management and prevention of nutritional problems. Further students visited Salarjung museum like Charminar, MTR garden and Ramoji film city etc. Students were accompanied by Ms. Andrea Gonsalves (Senior Tutor) and Mr. Ramanagoudar (Tutor) of our institute were accompanied.
International Yoga day 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi observed International Yoga Day o 21st June 2023. Principal Dr. Vikrant Nesari emphasized the importance of yoga and encouraged students to practice daily as it will aid them to be physically and mentally fit. Forty B.Sc. (N) Students along with the faculty of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences were present.
World Environmental Day 2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi observed world Environmental Day o 5th June 2023. On the occasion, 10 trees were planted at Primary School Navage Village and students emphasized on the importance of plantation. Faculty of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences and GNM 3rd Year students were present.
Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony 2022-2023
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi, had organized the Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking ceremony of the 5th Batch of GNM (Diploma Nursing) and 1st Batch of B.Sc. Nursing on 23/05/2023. On the occasion, the welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi. Chief Guest of the function was Col. M.N. Rajani, Commanding Officer, Military Hospital, Belagavi. The Guest of Honour was Dr. Col. Dayanand, Medical Director, KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Belagavi. The oath was recited by Mrs. PrafullataSuryavanshi (Senior Tutor). The president of the function was Dr. H.B. Rajasekhar, Medical Director, USM KLE International Medical Program, Belagavi. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Prajakta Goral (Senior Tutor). All teaching and non-teaching staff, media and invitees were present.
International Nurses Day
On the occasion of International Nurses Day, a celebration was organized by KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi on 12th May 2023. Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi welcomed the guests and gathering. The Chief Guest of the function, Col. P.G.G Sundari (Retd) addressed the students and advised them to serve the mankind with compassion and honesty. The Guest of Honour, Mrs. RosalinLondhe, Nursing Superintendent, KLES Charitable Hospital, Yallur Road, Belagavi also graced the occasion. Dr. M.A. Udchankar, Principal, KLES Homeopathy Medical College, Belagavi, delivered the presidential remarks. In addition to this, various competitions such as cooking without fuel, essay writing, face painting, pick & speak were organized for the students and prices were distributed.
International Midwives Day
On the occasion of International Midwives Day, a guest lecture was organized on 05/05/2023 by KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi. The Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Prof. SangeetaKharde ma’am, Vice-Principal & HOD Dept. of OBG Nursing, KAHER INS Belagavi addressed the students and delivered a lecture on the theme “Together Again: From Evidence to Reality”. The presidetial remarks was delivered by Dr. S.C. Dharwad sir. In addition to this, the final year GNM students provided health teachings on “Diet & Exercise” to the antenatal & postnatal mothers admitted in the maternity ward and fruits were distributed amongst them.
World Liver Day
On the occasion of “World Liver Day” on 19/4/23 KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized a street play on “Alcohol Abuse” at Bijgarni Village. Additionally, pamphlets on preventive measures of liver disorders were distributed. Around 183 people benefitted through this event.
WORLD HEALTH DAY
On the occasion of “World Health Day” on 7/4/23, KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi enacted a street play on “Physical & Psychological Well-Being” at KSRTC Central Bus Stand, Belagavi. Additionally, pamphlets were distributed on preventive measures of diseases and general well-being. The gathered public benefitted through this event.
VISIT TO KARNATAKA MILK FEDERATION
As a part of curriculum, 1st year GNM students visited Karnataka Milk Federation, Belagavi on 28/3/23. Mr. Mujahid T., Assistant Manager, oriented the students to the milk dairy and explained about the pasteurization of milk, storage and packing preparation of the milk products.
FREE ORAL HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP
On the occasion of “World Oral Unified Week”, KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized a free oral health check-up camp in collaboration with KLE V.K. Institute of Dental Sciences, Belagavi on 27/3/23 at Bijagarni Village. Around 221 people benefitted through the camp.
HELPING BABIES BREATHE WORKSHOP
A workshop on “Helping Babies Breathe” was organized by the Child Health Nursing Department of KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi for the final year GNM students of KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi on 20/3/23. Mr. Gavi Salimath, HOD, Department of Child Health Nursing briefed the students regarding the workshop and thereafter, hands on training were delivered by the expert trainers at multiple skill stations. A total of 58 students benefitted from the workshop.
World Kidney Day
On the occasion of World Kidney Day on 09/03/2023 KLE'S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized a guest lecture on Chronic Kidney Disease and its preventive measures. The expert lecture was given by Dr. Vijaykumar Patil, Nephrologist, KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital, Yallur Road, Belagavi. Around 160 students and hospital staff benefited through the guest lecture.
ANNUAL sports DAY 2022-2023
Sports Meet was held on 6 th & 8 th March 2023, at District Stadium Ground Belagavi. Mr. Atul Shirole, International Wrestler was the Chief Guest for the event, Prof. Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing sciences Belagavi was the Guest of Honor and Dr. S.C. Dharwad Director Clinical services KLES Centenary Charitable Hospital Belagavi were present for the occasion. The programme was commenced by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi by welcoming the dignitaries and students. The Chief Guest inspired students by emphasizing the importance of games and maintaining good health. The inaugural ceremony started with lighting the ceremonial sports lamp and hoisting the flag by the dignitaries. All the students actively participated in both indoor and outdoor games. Medals and certificates were distributed for the winners.
visit to Shantai Old Age Home
As a part of Curriculum, 1 st year GNM 60 students visited Shantai Old age home on 21- 02-2023. In the beginning, Mr. Vijay More and Mrs. Maria More, Founder of old age home briefed about infrastructure and gave the orientation of members. The students conducted an entertainment program for the inmates and donated hand towels, grains, fruits and biscuits to them. Ms. Prajakta Goral, Senior Tutor and Mrs. Komal Goni, Tutor accompanied the students.
visit to water purification plant
As part of Curriculum, 1 st year GNM 60 students visited purification plant on 20/2/23 at Laxmitek of Belagavi. Safety instructions were given to the students. Mr. Vikas Kumar, Plant Incharge explained about steps involved in purification of water, role of filter beds, nature and use of sand filters, along-with methods available to check the quality and wholesomeness of water at purification plant. At the end of our visit, students gained good insight about the importance of water purification and disinfection. Ms. Prajakta Goral Senior Tutor and Mrs. Komal Goni, Tutor accompanied the students.
