WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY
KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized an awareness rally on the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” on 31st May 2025, on the theme “Bright products. Dark intentions”, from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden to KLE’S Centenary Charitable Hospital Yallur Road, Belagavi. Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLE’S CINS Yallur Road, Belagavi welcomed the guests & the rally was flagged off by Shri.Mangesh Pawar, Honorable Mayor of Belagavi City Corporation, Sir emphasized on hazardous effects of tobacco on the society and measures to prevent the use of tobacco, Corporators Shri. Raju Bhatkhande and Shri Girish Dongadi urged about adapting healthy lifestyle habits and keeping themselves away from the use of tobacco & its products. Around 174 students participated in the rally displayed placards and raised slogans. Students performed street play regarding complications of chewing tobacco and its end results, they also pledged to abstain from the use of tobacco.
International Nurses Day
KLE’S Centenary Institution of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road Belagavi celebrated International nurses week from 7 to 13th May 2025 and organized various events such as Traditional day, Mismatch day, Bollywood day and Squad day along with Quiz competitions Cooking without fuel, Pick and speak and Poster presentation competitions were organized for the students, On 13th May 2025 Nurses day is celebrated, Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal introduced and welcome the guests. The chief guest of the function Dr.(Mrs.) Meenaxi R. Devengamath Principal Sankanur Institute of Nursing Sciences Gadag, was felicitated for 25 years of unwavering and selfless service in the field of nursing profession, she emphasizes on the theme of International nurses day 2025 and encourage the students, Dr. R. G. Nelevigi Medical Superintendent KLE CCH & MRC Yallur Road, Belagavi, motivated the students on being compassionate towards the profession. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Prafullata Suryavanshi Asst. Professor. All faculties and students were present during the occasion.
World Red Cross Day
On the occasion on World Red Cross Day, Youth red cross wing of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road Belagavi. has organized Voluntary blood donation camp and good number of students from B.Sc. and GNM course donated their blood on 12/05/2025, Dr. R.G. Nelevigi, Medical Superintendent, Mr. Prashant Desai, COO of KLES Centenary Charitable hospital, Yallur road, Belagavi, and Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal of KLES CINS Yallur road, Belagavi. were present and educated the youth to regarding benefits of Blood donation.
Educational Excursion Trip
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, As a part of educational excursion trip was organized from 24/04/25 to 28/04/25 for 1 Year GNM and B.Sc. Nursing students at all India Institute of Speech and Hearing Mysore (AIISH). Ms. Deepika Bhatt Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist conducted seminar on Communication disorder, also oriented the students regarding the major objectives of institute to educate the public on issues related to communication disorders, and also briefly demonstrated the procedures conducted in consultation room, endoscopy room, vertigo clinic, and audiometry room. The students had been for sightseeing to the historical places. Overall, the visit was resourceful and around 79 Students were accompanied by Teachers Mr. Pratik D Senior Tutor, Ms. Sonali C Tutor, Ms. Shravani P Tutor and Ms.Pratiksha A Tutor were present.
World Liver Day
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi, organized Guest Lecture on the account of “World Liver Day” the theme for this year was “Food is Medicine”. Ms. Prafullata S. Asst. Professor KLECINS welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest. Mr. Mahesh Byalagouder, Asst. Professor of KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi spoke on Cirrhosis of liver stressed on the causes, types and its management. Around 80 students and faculty members attended the programme.
National Safe motherhood Day
On the occasion of “National Safe motherhood Day” KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences organized the health awareness programme for Antenatal and Postnatal mothers of KLES Centenary Charitable hospital and MRC. The theme for this year is ‘Healthy Beginnings Hopeful futures’, on this event the students of B.Sc. 5th Semester enlightened mothers about safe motherhood, importance of antenatal visits, Nutrition and Dangers signs of pregnancy also emphasized about antenatal and postnatal exercises around 25 mothers were benefitted by this event. During the event Mrs. Rukmini K. Asst. Professor, Ms. Pratiksha A. and Ms. Kavya A. Tutors were present.
World Health Day
On the occasion of “World Health Day” The National Service Scheme(NSS) Unit of KLE Society’s Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi, organized Health Camp at Waghawade village, Belagavi, Health screening was done for Hypertension and Diabetes, the villagers actively participated and also certain medication were distributed. CMO- Dr. Jeevan Joshi, Asst.Professor Ms. Prafullata, NSS officer Mr. Pratik Shinde and Tutors Ms. Kavya and Mr.Santosh and along with 38 students of B.Sc. 5th Semester students were present for the event.
World Autism Day
On the occasion of “World Autism Day” 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing 38 students visited Sparsha Snehalaya, The special school for differently abled Children. Students organized and facilitated the therapeutic games and fun activities for the childrens and distributed the snacks. The Principal, Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Assistant Professor, Mr Tejesh Patil. Tutors Ms Kavya A and Ms Pratiksha A accompanied the students.
Annual Sports Meet
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi had organized Annual Sports Meet 2025 on 19th & 20th March 2025,at District Stadium Ground Belagavi. Dr. Nagaraj Killelli, Principal Lakeview College of Nursing Belagavi was the Chief guest for the event and welcome speech was Delivered by Dr. Vikrant Nesari Principal KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi The inaugural ceremony started with lighting the ceremonial sports lamp and hosting flag by the dignitaries All the students actively participated in both indoor and outdoor Games Medals and certificates were distributed for winners thus sports event brought great joy among students and staff.
International Women's Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 08/03/2025, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi, celebrated Women’s day. The programme was started by an invocation song. Students gave speech regarding the importance & contributions of Women’s to the society. Principal, Dr. Vikrant Nesari, addressed about the importance of Women empowerment on this occasion. Further games were arranged for the female faculty.
National Deworming Day
On the occasion of “National Deworming Day”, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi organized health awareness programme on prevention of worm infestation and its management at Government Marathi higher primary school, hangaraga, Belagavi. B.Sc. 3rd Semester students explained about causes, symptoms & treatment of worm infestation and hand washing steps were demonstrated, around 110 students from 1 to 7th standard were benefitted by the program. Mr. Tejesh Patil Asst. Professor welcomed the guest and Ms. Namrata C. Tutor accompanied with students.
World Cancer Day
On the occasion of “World Cancer Day” KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi. Students of B.Sc. 3rd semester, have performed role-play to create awareness about causes and prevention of cancer, at Central Bus Stand, Belagavi, where more than 100 people have actively participated and at V. B. S. S girl’s high school, Belgundi, Belagavi, where they educated 60, students of 8th & 9th standard. Students were accompanied with teaching faculty Mr. Pratik Daingade, Mr. Pratik Shinde & Ms. Namrata Chougule.
Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road Belagavi, had organized the Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony of the 7th Batch of GNM (Diploma Nursing) and 3rd Batch of B.Sc. Nursing on 21/01/2025. On the occasion, the welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLE CINS. The Chief guest of the function was Dr. J.B. Konaraddi member of Senate Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. The guest of Honour was Dr.M.V.Jali, Medical Director and Chief Executive KLE Dr. Sampathkumar S. Shivangi Cancer Hospital Belagavi and Dr. Veereshkumar S. Nadgaon Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi. The Oath was recited by Mrs. Rukmini Kakatikar (Senior Tutor) for the budding nurses. The Presidential remarks was given by Dr. H.B.Rajashekhar, Director, USM-KLE International Medical Program, Belagavi. The vote of thanks was proposed by Asst. Professor Mr. Tejesh Patil. All teaching and non- teaching, students and media were present.
