International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
The Government of Karnataka organized a major anti-drug awareness programme at Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, on 30th June 2026 to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The programme was led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, during which the Government officially launched Operation RISE and the ‘Beda Bro’ campaign to strengthen the fight against drug abuse and promote a drug-free society. The students of KLES Centenary Institution of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi, actively participated in the programme by viewing the live online telecast organized at the institution. The programme at the college was monitored by the staff of Shahapur Police Station, Belagavi, who ensured the smooth conduct of the event and encouraged active participation among the students. The programme served as an important initiative to inspire young people to become responsible citizens and support the Government’s mission of building a drug-free Karnataka.
International Yoga Day
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi observed International Yoga Day on 20th June 2023. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Vikrant Nesari emphasized the importance of yoga and encouraged students to practice daily as it will aid them to be physically and mentally fit .Forty B.SC (N) students participated and performed different asanas under the guidance of Ms.Sumedha . 1st year B.SC (N) students along with the faculty of KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences were present.
Annual Day 2026
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi, organized the Annual Day on 09th June 2026. Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi, welcomed the guests and presented the annual report for the year 2025-26. The Chief Guest was Dr. M B Tadalgi, Member, Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bengaluru, he emphasized the effectiveness of communication in the Nursing profession. The guest of Honor was Dr. Sanjay Kambar sir, Medical Superintendent, KLES CCH & MRC, Yallur Road, Belagavi, He emerged students about the importance of teamwork in Nursing profession. Dr. Sunil M B sir, Principal, KLES Institute of Nursing Sciences, Chikodi, Enlighted the students about the various opportunities in the fields of Nursing. Certificates, medals and trophies were distributed among the students who have excelled in the academic and sports. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Pratik S, Senior Tutor and was followed by cultural events which were performed by the students
World Environment Day
KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized an awareness rally on the occasion of “World Environment Day”, on 5th June 2026, on the theme “One Sapling for One Student” Dr.Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLE’S CINS Yallur Road, Belagavi welcomed the guests & the rally was flagged off by Dr. Sanjay Kambar medical superintendent of KLE’S CCH & MRC Yallur Road Belagavi and Belagavi city Corporators Shri. Raju Bhatkhande and Shri Girish Dongadi were present. The rally started from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden to KLE’S Centenary Charitable Hospital Yallur Road, Belagavi.Around 100 students participated in the rally, displayed placards and raised slogans. After the rally tree plantation was done by Mr. Pratik Shinde NSS officer and all the faculties, students were present.
World No Tobacco Day
KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi had organized an awareness rally on the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” on 2nd June 2026, on the theme “Unmasking the appeal – countering nicotine and tobacco addiction.”, from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Garden to KLE’S Centenary Charitable Hospital Yallur Road, Belagavi. Dr.Vikrant Nesari, Principal, KLE’S CINS Yallur Road, Belagavi welcomed the guests & the rally was flagged off by Dr. Sanjay kambar medical superintendent of KLE’S CCH & MRC Yallur Road Belagavi, Sir emphasized on hazardous effects of Tobacco on the society and measures to prevent the use of Tobacco. Belagavi city Corporators Shri. Raju Bhatkhande and Shri Girish Dongadi urged about adapting healthy lifestyle habits and keeping themselves away from the use of Tobacco & its products. Around 186 students participated in the rally displayed placards and raised slogans.
International Nurses Day
KLES Centenary Institution of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road Belagavi celebrated International Nurses Week from 9 to 13th May 2026 and organized various events such as Traditional day, Bollywood day and Squad day along with Quiz competition, Cooking without fire, Poster presentation competition and Reels making competition were organized for the students, on 13th May 2026 Nurses day is celebrated, Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal introduced and welcome the guest. The chief guest of the function Mrs. Bharati Lingayat, Deputy Nursing Superintendent KLE Centenary Charitable Hospital, Yallur road Belagavi, was felicitated for unwavering and selfless service in the field of nursing profession, she emphasizes on the theme of International Nurses day 2026 and encourage the students. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Basavaraj Hanchinamani Senior Tutor. All faculties and students were present during the occasion.
World Health Day
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi has organized “Health Talk” on the occasion of World Health Day. The students of B.Sc. (N) 2nd year gave education on the theme “My Health, My Rights” on the basis of few elements such as good nutrition, water, sanitary lifestyle, quality housing, environmental conditions, discrimination, health services, decent working condition etc. This talk was being held in male and female medicine and surgery wards respectively. Around 45 patients and attenders were benefitted by this program. The students and teaching faculty of the college were present during the session.
Educational Trip Mysore
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road Belagavi, as a part of educational excursion trip was organized from 25/03/26 to 28/03/26 for 1st year GNM and B.Sc. Nursing students. On 27/03/26they visited All India Institute of Speech and Hearing Mysore (AIISH). Mrs. Deepika Bhat instructor and Ms. Anusha M Audiologist oriented the students regarding the major objectives of the institute to educate the public on issues related to communication disorders. Following on 27/03/26, the students visited Defence Food Research Laboratory/ Defence Research and Development Organization (DFRL)/(DRDO). Mr. Singh and Mrs. Padmashri technical officers explained on the aspects of food science and technologies. The students also visited historical places like Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, St. Philomena church, Tippu sultan’s summer palace and Mysore palace. Overall, the visit was resourceful. Students were accompanied by their teachers.
International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a programme was celebrated on 11/03/2026 by KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur Road, Belagavi. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal. During the session, inspirational thoughts about women’s empowerment were shared, highlighting the importance of education, self-confidence and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for women. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the students inspired to contribute towards women’s empowerment and social progress.
Annual Sports Meet 2026
KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road Belagavi had organized Annual Sports Meet on 26th & 27th February 2026, at District Stadium Ground Belagavi. Dr. Iranna A Kajagar, Principal KLE’S Institute of Nursing Sciences Gokak, was the Chief guest for the event and welcome speech was Delivered by Dr. Vikrant Nesari, Principal KLE’S Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences Yallur Road, Belagavi and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Basavaraj Hanchinamani, SNA Advisor. The inaugural ceremony started with lighting the ceremonial sports lamp and hosting flag by the dignitaries. All the students actively participated in both indoor and outdoor Games. Medals and certificates were distributed for winners, thus sports event brought great joy among students and staff.
Organ Donation and Nasha Mukt Bharat Walkathon
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences organized walkathon on the theme of “organ donation and nasha mukt bharat” on 28/02/2026 from Belagavi District Athletic Stadium to Sardar Ground Belagavi. Shri Satish Jarakiholi Hon’ble Minister of Public Works, Government of Karnataka and Minister in-charge of Belgaum District inaugurated the function and Dr. Bhagavan B.C. is the Honorable Vice Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka recited the Pledge. Around 100 students participated in the walkathon from KLES Centenary Institute of Nursing Sciences, Yallur road, Belagavi. The walkathon was accompanied by Principal Dr. Vikrant Nesari and other teaching faculty.
